Guilty..

Last night, I broke one of the cardinal rules I live by (i think I broke several but the one I’m talking about is wayyy more serious!).
A month and a year ago, clubbing was on my "never-to-do" list. A year ago I broke this rule (no one's gonna believe me if I said I didn’t have any say in the matter so I’m not even going to try). Yesterday was, 'heck-if-I-did-it-once-what-difference-is-a-second-time-gonna-make'!
An alternative to going to the ball this year was on our minds for quite sometime but it was Trish who actually came up with a plan. The day after a party didn’t seem too appealing but we figured it was now or never! The thought of being nerds for the rest of the semester was so appalling that we had to have our share of entertainment before that ordeal begins.
After much hesitation we decided to pursue with our original plan (not because we wanted to dance till we dropped but because the thought of disappointing Trish, who's been looking forward to this, was too painful).
We strolled down the streets of Bangsar, keeping an ear out for good hip-hop music until we heard some groovy tunes. Drawn to the music like flies to a candle, the 7 of us entered. Instantly my laziness was gone and so was my cold (who would have thought that good loud music was the treatment i needed! lol). We scanned the room for cute guys and woo hoo... i found one! Lol :-D
We didn’t hesitate to grace the dance floor with our presence. The music was great, the atmosphere was good and i had my ever-faithful dance partner, Shanks, with me! What more could i have asked for! (Well, a male version of Shanks i guess) And what do u know, my 'un-hoped' hopes were answered. 5 minutes into the dancing I was lead away from the rest of my dance-buddies with a subtle nod of the head, by none other than the cute guy I had my eyes on earlier. Interesting coincidence!;-) Knowing how hard it is to find a guy who can compliment me in dancing, I appreciated this guy's talent immensely. He was GOOD! (plus he was cute, had awesome deltoids and biceps, pectorals too I’m guessing as the light was too poor for me to make out any further details, had a lovely smile and a voice and accent to die for!) I 'didn’t mind' dancing with him for over 2 hours! ;-) The red rose he got me was rather unexpected but welcome gift! (Apologies for being the flower-deprived med student!)
Coming back to breaking the rules - yes, I gave him my number. It’s against all the ethics I live by but yes I committed that heinous offence! And i almost agreed to a lunch date!
What has become of me! Where's the Imeshi I knew and loved. Hope at least part of her is in there some where! *sigh*
