Men - Can't live with 'em, Can't live without 'em!

Just letting out some pent-up frustration...

Why are most men such jerks? This is a question that has been bugging me for quite some time now. In spite of personal experience and learning from friends who've been through unsuccessful relationships, i still havent figured out the answer to this nagging question. Now, I just blame it on the Y-chromosome. I'm convinced that they all have a Jerk-gene which is expressed in 90% of the male population..

10 things about guys that annoy me the most -
1. Immaturity
2. Ignorance
3. Dim-wittedness
4. Irresponsiblity
5. Arrogance / Lack of self-confidence
6. Fear of commitment (into flings) / Too much into commitment
7. Slow walkers
8. Poor dress-sense
9. Doesn't like babies
10. Non-animal lover

Its amazing how many guys actually fulfill the first criteria i've mentioned above. I guess its true that guys mature much much slower than girls.. *shakes head in frustration*
I'm pretty sure that i'll either die single or end up married to some old man..

And the second criteria - Ignorance.. How hard is it to be informed about the world in this information age with all the news at our finger-tips?? And why is it that most guys don't seem to have the patience to read novels. Is it because they get bored of doing the same thing after a while. Talk about short attention span! *sigh* (Is this why guys fall "out" of love. Do they just get bored?)

3,4,5 and 6 are self-explanatory but 7; Guys, do you really think the world is gonna function at your pace?? Such ego!

Yeah, and i like guys with good dress-sense. Surely, a guy who takes care of himself is sure to be more of a family-man.

Hates babies? These guys have a mean streak in them; should watch out for them.
Hates animals? Well, my policy is - U hate dogs, I hate u!

So that brings us to the all important question; "Can we live without men?"
I used to say YES.. but now i've changed my mind.
Imagine a world without Brad Pitt, George Cloony, Dean Cain (he's my man!), Tom Cruise, Richard Gere, Matthew McConaughey.. What a sad life we'll lead..

Here's my solution -
Guys - They are objects to look at; to admire/to criticize.. if you are in for a fling, then i guess its ok to get involved (after all, if u have no emotional attachment they can't disappoint you).. but if a serious relationship is what you are looking for, then its better to wait till the guy is in his late 20s.. but even then there's no guarantee that he'll be mature enough.. *sigh*

Alternate solution -
We could pledge our support to Hiruni whose phD will be the creation of a Biological Weapon targeted at the Y-chromosome. Lets save the handful of good guys and unleach the wrath of Hiruni on the 90% of the guys who exibit the Jerk-phenotype!
